Why I don't argue, and you shouldn't too

Someone once said "When you argue with a fool, he's doing the same thing". I was told this more than once while growing up, yet I never listened. Until I had to understand it the hard way... When I was just a kid, I argued with anybody, anytime, anywhere I got a chance to, but not a long time ago, I got into arguing with someone on the internet on a foolish topic. While I was bringing some hilarious facts to the table, other users were supporting the person I argued with. I was sitting at my desk and caught myself thinking "Gosh, people, how can you be so stupid?!?!" (P.S. I know how humorous it sounds) and I got blocked on the app and when I got unblocked, well... I saw too many unpleasant comments on my "facts" and thought that everybody hates me now on the internet and almost got eaten up by overthinking, thank God I was able to get out of that mood and depressing feelings, which I'm surprised didn't send me to depression and social anxiety. And you know what one not that big sentence got me out? Yeah... that's right, it was: "When you argue with a fool, he's doing the same thing", but I knew I'm no fool, so "Elan, stop frigging arguing with fools, don't waste your time", SO I ENCOURAGE YOU, PLEASE STOP ARGUING WITH IDIOTS, DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME, ENERGY, NERVES AND BE SMART ;) P.S. this is my first post, please interact with it if you didn't fall asleep reading it 😄.
